If you are planning to buy a Maruti car then the budget will have to be increased a little bit. Actually, from April 16, the company has increased the prices of some models. Customers will now have to spend up to 1.6% (Rs 22,500) more money to buy a car. The price has been increased in the ex-showroom price of the car. The new prices have been implemented immediately.

The company says that the prices of raw materials used in the car have increased because of the increase. However, the new prices have just been increased on select models. Let us know that in the last one year, steel prices have gone up by 50%. At the same time, other parts from the semiconduct used in the car have also become expensive.

Which model became so expensive

According to information received from the RMJ showroom in Bhopal, the Alto has become expensive by Rs 12,500. At the same time, the price of Artiga has been increased by Rs 22,500. The car called the mini SUV, the S-Preso, has now become expensive by Rs 7,500. The company has increased the prices of all the cars found at its Arena showrooms.

The company wanted to increase the prices only last year
Shashank Srivastava, executive director of sales and marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, said the rules regarding BS-VI emission norms have come into force since April last year. Because of this many types of costs have been added to the car's manufacturing. We had also considered raising the price last year, but the market situation was not good last year. Now the cost of raw materials, especially steel, plastics and expensive metals has gone up significantly. "

In January this year, the car became expensive by Rs 34,000.
On January 18, Maruti Suzuki India increased the price of its cars by up to Rs 34,000. At that time almost all companies had increased their prices. Even then the company had said that the prices of raw materials would increase. However, Maruti has raised prices for the second time in a span of 3 months.

The company released car production figures in March 2021, stating that a total of 1,72,433 units of cars were produced last month. While the company produced 92,540 units of cars in the same month last year.
